Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler 28 June 1986. The young woman had a troubled childhood. She was just two when her mother abandoned her to get away from the abusive marriage. Pickler's mother returned in 1995 into her life, and she took full charge of the child. This did not go well. Pickler was then 12 years old and was remanded to her parents by the court. They took care of her until she turned an adult. Pickler had to be busy with her children in the absence of her parents. She confessed that, in absence of both parents, Pickler's schedule was so busy that she could not go to school. In the meantime, she began learning how to look after her family members at a younger age. Pickler had been an athlete in middle and high school. She graduated in 2004 at North Stanly High School. Pickler has also been a beauty contestant. Her name was even a reference to Miss Stanly County.
