Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler 28 June 1986. She had a turbulent childhood. For the sake of leaving her abusive boyfriend, Pickler's mother left when she was just 2 years older. Pickler was brought back to her mom in the year 1995 when she was appointed the custodian. It did not work out as planned. At the age of 12, Pickler aged twelve, the court sent her to her maternal grandparents whom she grew up until adulthood. Pickler, in the absence her parents as well as her elder siblings, became too busy to be a mother. The mother of three admitted she did not find time to attend school and began learning how to be a homemaker in the early years. Pickler was a member of the cheerleading teams at both her high school as well as middle school. North Stanly High School, where she graduated in 2004 is her school of choice.
