Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American musician and popular actress. Sara Ramirez was brought up with her American mother. She was subjected to a variety of racist taunts, which led her to feel unwelcome. In her 9th year that she started to feel more confident after being highly praised during an audition. The event not only helped the confidence of her, but also altered her goals in the future. In 1992, she earned her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. She started her professional journey at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. Her biggest breakthrough was when she appeared in the role in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot receiving not just an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also a flurry of praise from critics. The following year, she joined the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider acceptance for the role. As a well-known singer, she released her own single and an extended show. In her role as an activist, she strives for LGBT equality.
